The Basics (Please read this part!)
- Keep this link! I will add any important news about greenhouse sessions right here where everyone can access it easily.
- Everyone is required to sign a contract and a waiver for the farm. Both can be found in the email titled "Your Session Contract." Please read through the farm rules located at the top of your contract.
- My number is 724-503-8620. I can be reached via call or text for any creative or logistical questions.
- The Vintage Greenhouse is located at Autumn Ridge Farm, 224 Hedgedus Road, Scottsdale Pa, 15683
- The farm, and greenhouse are both super easy to find! There is a large sign that says Autumn Ridge Farm and then there is another sign directing people toward "photoshoots." Once you turn into the driveway just stay straight toward the greenhouse. You can't miss it!
Preparing For Your Session
Now onto the fun stuff! Let's start with what you can expect you session to be like. While I always start with a couple of traditional poses, I am not a "Everyone look here and say cheese!" type of photographer. Instead I will guide you through fun, intimate prompts to help you create a stunning and one of a kind gallery. Relax, and plan to be in the moment with your loved ones. You will walk away with lovely romantic shots, that tell a beautiful story.
What to Wear
The most important thing is that you wear something that you love, and that you feel great in. If you already have a vision in mind feel free to skip this section. There are no hard, fast rules but if you would love some tips, or you're having a hard time nailing down an idea- keep reading!
Tips for choosing a great outfit
- DON'T HOLD BACK! This session is an investment. You deserve to wear the most amazing version of an outfit you can think of. A great ensemble is a major piece of the overall puzzle and can take your session up several levels. There is no such thing as "too much." If you want to wear the dress, wear the dress. If you daydream about being layered in tulle- do it. If you've always wanted a flower crown- here's your chance. If you wished to look like the latest indie album cover- I'm here for it.
- If you are having a hard time finding direction, try narrowing down a style you like. I have listed a few below. Check out the attached Pinterest board to get the wheels turning.
- Aim for coordinating over matching.
- Check the texture! Clothes that flow and have movement are really going to shine in this space. Sheer balloon sleeves, full skirts, funky layers, soft fabric are all your friend. On the flip, an edgy dark look could also offer a glamorous contrast.
- Avoid very loud patterns and graphics. I love color and I would never discourage it, but keep patterns small and opt out of bold graphics.
- Don't forget the shoes. In my early years I cropped off many-a-feet at the clients behest because we all forgot about the shoes. Another great option for this space is to just go barefoot!
