My name is Karissa. I am a wife, mom, photographer, music lover, traveler, collector of beautiful moments, with roots that grow deep in the ground and the heart of a gypsy. I was born to be the teller of stories, and keeper of memories, a hopeless romantic, and an unapologetic bleeding heart. I believe in the power of kindness, the magic of love, the moon and the stars, promises in new beginnings, and fighting the good fight. I have a home with my family in southwestern Pa, but the Pacific Northwest will always have my heart. I love people, and I love their stories. It would be an honor to capture yours.
All About Heartstrong
Heartstrong Photography is the phoenix passion project born from Whimsy Images Photography. Photography as a career came to me in whirlwind of desperation and hope. I was clambering to find a foothold after tragedy, and to keep my family floating. I launched into photography with very little direction or skill, only a burning desire to get somewhere better. I couldn't have prepared for the road that tumble out ahead of me. Years later, we are standing in a different place; one built by strong hearts, strong love, strong family, and strong community. Heartstrong Photography is a testament, and a promise to always cherish what came before, and show up ready for what comes next.
